MSCA COFUND 2027

The MSCA COFUND action provides co-funding for new or existing doctoral programmes and postdoctoral fellowship schemes to support researcher training and mobility. It aims to spread MSCA best practices through international, inter-sectoral, and interdisciplinary research opportunities. Funding is provided as a fixed COFUND allowance per researcher-month. The programme promotes excellence in research training and encourages synergies with Cohesion policy funds.

Organisations based in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries that manage or fund doctoral or postdoctoral programmes. These include universities, research centres, public/private sector organisations, funding agencies, and regional authorities. Individual researchers are not eligible to apply directly.

Kvalifikationskriterier

The beneficiary must be a single legal entity established in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country that funds or manages Doctoral or Postdoctoral Programmes
Additional partners (government, regional authorities, funding agencies, universities, research organisations, or enterprises) may be included in the project
Programmes must recruit at least 3 researchers
Doctoral programme researchers must not already hold a doctoral degree and must be enrolled in a doctoral programme in at least one EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country
Postdoctoral programme researchers must hold a doctoral degree (or have successfully defended their thesis) and must not already be permanently employed by the host organisation
Researchers must comply with MSCA mobility rules (not residing/carrying out main activity in the host country for more than 12 of the 36 months prior to the call deadline)
Maximum grant amount is EUR 10 million per beneficiary per call
Maximum project duration is 5 years
