The German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) is an incentive scheme for production service providers whose film projects are wholly or partly being realised in Germany. The grant is 30% of approved German production costs, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis with no fixed deadline.

Kvalifikationskriterier

Production service providers such as production studios or VFX service providers are eligible to apply under DFFF II if they are responsible for a feature-length film commissioned to them or even just for part of such a film.
Both feature films and animated films that are to be shown in cinemas in Germany and whose producers undertake to comply with the holdback periods.
Total production costs of the film must amount to at least 20 million euros.
German production costs commissioned from the service provider must amount to at least 8 million euros.
For animated films that must meet the cultural characteristics test, the German production costs must amount to 2 million euros.
