Infrastructure Operating Fund
The Infrastructure Operating Fund (IOF) helps institutions cover a portion of the operating and maintenance costs of CFI-funded research infrastructure. Funding is allocated automatically based on a percentage of the CFI's contribution to approved research infrastructure projects. Institutions receive 30% of the maximum CFI-approved contribution for eligible projects approved after July 1, 2001. The IOF supports costs such as electricity, facility charges, and salaries of technicians essential to operating CFI-funded infrastructure.

Canadian universities, colleges, research hospitals, and non-profit research institutions with CFI-funded research infrastructure approved after July 1, 2001. Excluded: Major Science Initiatives, Canada Research Chairs Infrastructure Fund (2001-2006), and COVID-19 related funds.Nøglekontakter
