Research Ireland ERC Support Programme
The Research Ireland ERC Support Programme allows Irish institutions to recruit ERC-funded researchers from outside of Ireland. The programme provides funding of up to €300,000 as an overhead payment to support the transferred ERC researcher and enhance the host institution's capacity to win future ERC awards. Funding is split: up to 75% (€225,000) for researcher infrastructure and up to 25% (€75,000) for institutional ERC capacity building. Duration can extend up to 60 months (72 months for ERC Synergy Grants). Note: This programme is temporarily paused for new applications.
