Horizon Career Accelerator Funding

Horizon provides flexible career development stipends ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 to assist participants in the Career Accelerator program. Funding supports activities such as unpaid or underpaid policy roles, upskilling, and relocation for policy-related work by those pursuing careers in AI policy.

Applicants must be accepted into or currently applying for the Horizon Career Accelerator. Participation in the Accelerator is a mandatory prerequisite for funding.
Open to individuals at all career stages, including students, early-career, mid-career, and senior professionals.
Applicants must demonstrate a passion for public service, prior engagement with AI/public policy (via work, research, or projects), and strong communication skills.
International applicants without U.S. work authorization may have specific eligibility conditions to review.
Funding cannot cover equipment (laptops, monitors), college/graduate tuition, non-policy work, 501(c)(4) lobbying/campaigns, for-profit roles, or partisan political activities.
