The Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) program provides $70,000 per year for up to 24 months to support postdoctoral researchers in natural sciences and engineering. The program aims to empower the next generation of innovators and researchers at a pivotal career stage, allowing them to conduct research in Canada or abroad.

Not hold or be on leave from a tenure-track or tenured faculty position
Have completed all requirements of your doctorate or health professional degree no more than three years before September 1 of the year in which you apply
Exceptions to the three-year limit may be granted for career interruptions such as parental, medical, family-related responsibilities, mandatory military service, disruptions due to war, civil conflicts, natural disasters, or socio-economic reasons
