UKAI Champions: Frontier AI Phase 1
AI Champions: Frontier AI Phase 1 (Frontier AI Discovery) is a two-phase competition run by Innovate UK. Phase 1 provides £25,000–£50,000 for feasibility studies focused on frontier AI and foundation models. Successful projects gain entry to apply for Phase 2 (£5m–£10m, 24–36 months). Projects must align with one of four missions: AI-Enabled Health and Life Sciences, Advanced Materials with AI, Secure AI for National Security and Defence, or Fundamental AI. Phase 1 covers up to 70% of costs, lasts up to 3 months, and requires work to be carried out and exploited in the UK.

Open to UK-registered organisations including businesses of any size, research organisations, RTOs, charities, not-for-profits, public sector organisations, and NGOs. Work must be conducted and exploited in the UK.Vorteile und Vergünstigungen
