Pre-Employment Grant

The Pre-Employment Grant is a discretionary recruitment scheme to encourage Singaporean students studying medicine overseas to work as a house/medical officer in Singapore's public healthcare clusters after graduation. The grant covers up to 60% of remaining tuition fees, capped at S$50,000 per year up to a maximum of S$150,000, with a service obligation in public healthcare clusters.

Singapore Citizens studying medicine at an overseas medical school recognised by the Singapore Medical Council, with good grades. Applicants must be in specific years of their programme: 4-year programme (3rd or 4th year), 5-year programme (4th or 5th year), 6-year programme (4th, 5th, or 6th year).
