UP NEXT 2026 — Annual Exhibition for Emerging Afro-Nordic Artists
UP NEXT 2026 is Southnord's annual initiative to platform emerging Afro-Nordic visual artists. Now in its 8th edition, the programme selects artists for a solo exhibition at Southnord Artspace in Stockholm, aligning with Southnord Artfest 2026 (Helsinki). Artists must propose work that engages with the theme 'routes/roots' — exploring migration, movement, land, language, and memory — and interpret this in dialogue with their individual practice. Selection is based on artistic merit, thematic relevance, and project feasibility.
