Sustainable Agriculture Research Initiative (SARI) Connection Grants

The Sustainable Agriculture Research Initiative (SARI) Connection Grants support interdisciplinary and intersectoral events and outreach activities to advance sustainable agricultural sectors and food systems in Canada, contributing to the country's net-zero economy transition. Grants range from $10,000 to $50,000 for one-year projects, with applicants required to secure matching funds equivalent to at least 25% of the SSHRC request. Approximately 32 projects are expected to be funded.

Who can apply

Open to applicants, co-applicants, and collaborators affiliated with Canadian institutions holding institutional eligibility to administer funds. Intellectual leadership can originate from research communities or not-for-profit sectors. Projects must facilitate interdisciplinary and intersectoral exchanges.
