Damon Runyon Fellowship Award

The Damon Runyon Fellowship Award supports postdoctoral researchers conducting theoretical or experimental research relevant to cancer causes, mechanisms, therapies, and prevention. Candidates must apply under a Sponsor who is a tenured, tenure-track or equivalent scientist capable of providing mentorship. The award provides funding for up to four years including stipend, tuition, and research allowance.

Who can apply

Postdoctoral researchers (PhD, MD, or equivalent) who have not yet accepted a postdoctoral research fellowship award. Candidates may hold a T32 at time of application but not concurrently with the Damon Runyon Fellowship Award. Level 1 candidates must have degree conferred within specific windows relative to deadlines; Level 2 candidates (board-eligible physician-scientists) may apply at any time prior to initial assistant professorship appointment.
