DBT-BIRAC Joint Rolling Call inviting proposals to establish मूलांकुर (Bio-AI) hubs under the BioE3 Policy for Biomanufacturing. This initiative supports interdisciplinary research integrating AI/ML with biotechnology across five focus areas: Biomolecular Design, Sustainable Agriculture, Synthetic Biology, Ayurveda, and Genome Diagnostics. The programme follows a rolling evaluation system and targets projects implementing AI-guided closed-loop biomanufacturing platforms.

Who can apply

Open to Indian academic institutions (SIRO-recognized), universities, government organizations, national labs, DSIR-recognized non-profits, and companies/startups with ≥51% Indian shareholding. PIs need ≥4 years tenure. Industry collaborations funded through BIRAC; academic-only projects through DBT.
