Who can apply

Open to small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, and research organizations building on results from EU-funded projects (Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, European Defence Fund). Individual applicants or consortia (2-5 entities) from EU member states or associated countries are eligible.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must build on results from specific EU-funded projects: EIC Pathfinder, FET-Open/Proactive, ERC Proof of Concept, or Horizon 2020/Europe Research & Innovation Actions
Ongoing projects must have been in implementation for at least 18 months
Completed projects must have concluded no more than 24 months ago
ERC Proof of Concept projects need only a minimum of 6 months in implementation
Projects must be at TRL 3 (completed) or TRL 4
Single applicants must be SMEs, start-ups, or research-performing organisations; large companies are ineligible as single applicants
Consortia must include entities from different EU Member States or Associated Countries
Now includes results from Research Infrastructure (RIA) projects under Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe
