Grand Challenges India - Open Call for Breakthrough Solutions and Cost-Disruptive Innovations for Screening and Diagnosis
BIRAC invites Indian startups, academic institutions, and R&D organizations to submit proposals for high-risk, cost-disruptive medical screening and diagnostic innovations targeting TB, emerging pathogens, and enteric diseases. The program offers grants between 5,000,000 and 20,000,000 INR for scalable, low-cost solutions designed for peripheral or community health settings. Preference is given to AI-enabled, sensing, or software-defined diagnostic technologies that target approximately 100 INR per test. Focus areas include TB (including extrapulmonary and pediatric), emerging pathogens, syndromic panels, and enteric pathogens.
Who can apply
