International Climate Protection Fellowship

The International Climate Protection Fellowship supports prospective leaders and postdocs from non-European developing and transition countries to conduct 12-24 month research projects in Germany. The fellowship focuses on climate change mitigation, adaptation, biodiversity, ecosystem preservation, sustainable ocean use, resource efficiency, and urban development. Up to 15 fellowships for practical leaders (12 months) and up to 5 for postdocs (12-24 months) are awarded annually.

Who can apply

Prospective leaders and postdocs who are citizens of non-European developing or transition countries, currently living and working there, with expertise in climate protection, resource conservation, and sustainable development.
