Commissioned micro-budget fiction feature films under two themes: 'Once Upon a Family' (Tier 1 and 2, cap R6 million) and 'Becoming' (Tier 2 and 3, cap R4.5 million). Projects must be at final development stage with a production-ready script, 80 to 120 minutes in length. Only one application per filmmaker across both themes.
Who can apply
South African filmmakers, categorised into Tiers 1, 2, and 3 based on experience; must self-tier correctly; emphasis on previously disadvantaged persons.Sources
