NPGH LEADERs Fellowship Program

A 12-month global health research fellowship at approved international sites, starting July 2027. Fellows conduct full-time research for 40 hours per week at a partner site, with short-term U.S. training for LMIC trainees. Applications are due September 15, 2026.

Who can apply

Postdoctoral or doctoral trainees who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Cameroon, Ghana, India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, or Uganda. Must have a mentor at a U.S. consortium institution (Universities of Michigan, Minnesota, Washington, Indiana University, or University of Hawai'i) and at an approved international partner site. Must be available for 12 months full-time research starting July 2027.
