The winning city receives EUR 500,000, with two runners-up each receiving EUR 50,000. Applications are assessed on six pillars: Experimenting (test-bed capabilities), Escalating (ecosystem and SME support), Ecosystem building (synergies), Expanding (replication and role modeling), City innovative vision (strategic planning), and Citizens' rights (democratic and social cohesion).
