Artist Residency: Modern Ancient Brown Foundation 2026 (USA)

The Modern Ancient Brown Foundation (MABF) Artist Residency is a studio-based programme for recent Bachelor's and M.F.A. graduates identifying as BIPOC and/or queer. Residents develop their studio practice in dialogue with Critical Studies (performance, art writing, curating, film, music, creative writing). Up to two residents per cycle share a 1,000 sq ft studio in Detroit, Michigan, with a monthly materials stipend and housing support for non-Detroit residents.

Open to recent Bachelor's and M.F.A. graduates identifying as BIPOC and/or queer, with a focus on studio practice and Critical Studies. Both US and international applicants welcome; Detroit/Great Lakes residents strongly encouraged.
