AUDA-NEPAD (African Union Development Agency – New Partnership for Africa's Development)

The Home Grown Solutions (HGS) Accelerator, implemented under the AUDA-NEPAD collaboration and financially supported by JICA, supports growth and mature stage African ventures in healthcare and now early, growth and mature-stage climate ventures. It offers hands-on, highly tailored support to help each selected company improve and grow.

Criterios de elegibilidad

For health ventures: Operate mainly or solely in Africa (preference for companies operating across countries); employ mostly local staff; have strong African representation in leadership; be a growth or mature stage for-profit entity; demonstrate ambition and potential to scale; demonstrate clear market traction and sizable customer base; strengthen Africa's health system (e.g., manufacture medical consumables/devices, provide healthcare services, provide technology solutions).
For climate ventures: Operate mainly or solely in Africa; employ mostly local staff; have strong African representation in leadership; be an early, growth or mature stage for-profit entity; express ambition and potential to scale; demonstrate clear market traction and sizable customer base; strengthen Africa's climate resilience in focus sub-sectors (e.g., clean energy, sustainable mobility, waste management/circular economy, nature-based solutions).
