Penland Resident Artist Program

Penland's Resident Artist Program offers 1-year or 3-year residencies for full-time professional craft artists at a pivotal moment in their creative practice or career. Residents receive private studio and apartment (utilities included), annual tuition-free workshop, meals during school sessions, and gallery representation. The program serves artists working in books, clay, drawing/painting, glass, letterpress, iron, metals, papermaking, photography, printmaking, textiles, and wood.

Open to full-time professional craft artists internationally working in books, clay, drawing/painting, glass, letterpress, iron, metals, papermaking, photography, printmaking, textiles, and wood. No prior connection to Penland required.
