AICTE Post-Doctoral Fellowship

The AICTE Post-Doctoral Fellowship aims to encourage 200 Indian scholars who have completed their Ph.D. in technical fields (Engineering, Technology, Management, Design, Applied Sciences, etc.) to pursue a career in research and development. The fellowship is tenable at AICTE approved institutions and provides an opportunity for advanced studies and research. The tenure is initially for one year, extendable for another year upon satisfactory work.

Qui peut postuler

Unemployed Indian scholars with a Ph.D. degree in technical disciplines (Engineering, Technology, Management, Design, Applied Sciences, etc.) who are below 35 years of age and have identified a supervisor at an AICTE approved institution.

Tenure extendable from 1 year to 2 years based on satisfactory performance

Critères d'éligibilité

Must be an unemployed candidate awarded a Ph.D. degree in relevant disciplines (Engineering, Technology, Management, Design, Planning, Applied Arts, Hotel Management, Computer Application, Applied Sciences, Inter Disciplinary Areas)
General category candidates must have minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA at PG/UG level (5% relaxation for reserved categories SC/ST/OBC/women/PWD)
Must be below 35 years of age as on the date of application
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women/Physically Challenged and 3 years for OBC category
Must identify and obtain consent from a Supervisor affiliated with an AICTE approved University/Institute
The fellowship can be availed only once in a career
Persons already in regular service are not eligible to apply
Supervisor must be an approved Ph.D. guide, not superannuated, and must hold a Ph.D. degree
