IndiaANRF Ramanujan Fellowship
The Ramanujan Fellowship is intended for brilliant Indian/Indian-origin scientists and engineers from all over the world to take up scientific research positions in India. It supports researchers working in frontier areas of science and technology. The fellowship provides comprehensive funding including a consolidated monthly stipend, annual research grant, and institutional overhead charges for a period of 5 years.
Qui peut postuler
Indian and Indian-origin scientists and engineers working abroad who are under 40 years old and wish to return to India to pursue research in frontier areas of science and technology. Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent and must not currently hold any permanent position in India.Avantages et bénéfices
- Fellowship of Rs. 1,35,000 per month (consolidated including HRA)
- Research grant of Rs. 7 lakh per annum
- Institutional overhead charges of Rs. 60,000 per annum
- Duration: 5 years (non-extendable)
- Freedom to work at any scientific institution or university in India
- Eligibility to apply for additional extramural research grants from other Indian government S&T agencies
- Taxable under Indian IT rules
