Attic Insulation Grant

A grant for attic insulation in homes built and occupied before 2011. Fixed amounts are available per property type, with higher grants for first-time buyers and homeowners on qualifying welfare payments. Applications can be made directly or through a One Stop Shop.

Qui peut postuler

Owner occupiers, first-time buyers, homeowners on qualifying welfare payments, companies, registered charities, holiday homes, Approved Housing Bodies (AHB), and landlords of properties in the Republic of Ireland that were built and occupied before 2011.

Critères d'éligibilité

Properties must have an MPRN (Meter Point Reference Number)
Homes must have been built and occupied before 2011
Homes with previous funding for an attic insulation grant at the same MPRN are not eligible
Grant is only available for top-floor apartments or apartments where heat is escaping from the roof to the outside
An apartment with separate apartments located directly above is not eligible
First-time buyers must have purchased the property on or after 1 January 2025
First-time buyers must be purchasing an existing home built and occupied on or before 31 December 2010
