Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC)

The Product Commercialization Program (PCP) Fund provides financial support for validated (≥TRL 7) biotechnology products or technologies that are market-ready. The program specifically covers activities like test-validation in target markets, preparation for market launch, and large-scale commercialization. It is designed to bridge the gap between technical validation and actual market commercialization, covering post-validation activities not addressed by standard BIRAC schemes such as BIG, BIPP, and SBIRI.

Qui peut postuler

Indian biotech startups incorporated within the last 10 years, with at least 51% Indian shareholding and products/technologies at TRL 7 or above that are market-ready.

Critères d'éligibilité

Indian startups incorporated within the last 10 years
Minimum 51% Indian shareholding certified by a CA/CS with a valid UDIN
51% shareholders must hold Indian citizenship and valid Indian passports
Products/technologies must have achieved Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 or higher
Products must be ready for large-scale commercialization within 6–18 months
Startups previously supported by BIRAC (via funding, partnership, incubation, or awards) are eligible
Startups with products of high national relevance supported by other funding sources are also eligible
