French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS)

The French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship Programme offers 10-month fellowships to high-level international scholars and scientists to develop innovative research projects in France. The programme supports all disciplines in the Social Sciences and Humanities and fields interfacing with SSH, with a transnational MSCA mobility rule.

Qui peut postuler

Researchers of any nationality holding a doctoral degree plus 2 years of full-time research experience, who have not resided or worked in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the deadline.

Critères d'éligibilité

FIAS awards fellowships to outstanding researchers of all career levels, from postdoctoral researchers to senior scientists.
Minimum requirement: PhD + 2 years of research experience at the time of application (PhD training period not considered).
Researchers from all countries are eligible but must have spent no more than 12 months in France during the three years prior to the application deadline.
Open to all disciplines in Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and all other research fields interfacing with SSH.
Doctoral degree plus 2 years of full-time research experience at the time of application
Must not have resided or carried out main activity in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the call deadline
Open to all disciplines in SSH and fields interfacing with SSH
