Idea to Innovation grants
The Idea to Innovation (I2I) grants support college and university faculty members in research and development projects with technology transfer potential. The objective is to accelerate the pre-competitive development of promising technology originating from universities and colleges, helping academic institutions scale up research to be tech-transfer ready. Projects require mandatory engagement with the institution's Industry Liaison Office (ILO) or equivalent, which must manage intellectual property (IP). Applications must demonstrate technological maturity, a clear IP protection strategy, and a technology transfer plan with commercial potential.
