Mitacs Accelerate: Defence and Security

This call, funded by the Department of National Defence (DND), supports research internships in defence and security for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at Carleton University. It provides funding through the Mitacs Accelerate program for projects aligned with DND priorities.

Critères d'éligibilité

Eligible projects include those in strategic areas: Aerospace, Training and simulation, In-service support, Personnel protection, Sensors, Space, Digital systems (AI, quantum, cyber), Specialized manufacturing, Uncrewed systems, Quantum science and technology, Arctic sovereignty.
Projects may run for up to two years and include no more than 30 internship units (IUs).
Interns must be identified at the time of application for a minimum of 50 per cent of the internships; no more than 50 per cent may be listed as TBD.
Standard Accelerate student eligibility and award values apply.
