Preventing global health threats by strengthening surveillance systems to accelerate outbreak detection, notification, and response

Activities under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) should focus on protecting and improving public health globally by strengthening public health surveillance systems, improving the surveillance workforce, improving the interface between disease surveillance and laboratory systems, reinforcing emergency surveillance preparedness, enhancing electronic disease surveillance platforms, and enhancing the use of surveillance data for public health action. This NOFO supports global health security partners to develop or continue surveillance activities that build regional and country capacities to detect, respond to, control, and prevent infectious diseases and emerging threats.
