Protection and Infrastructure grants 2026

Apply for capital items that support improving woodland management and managing the impact of beaver behaviours. Applications are open all year from 5 January 2026. The guidance includes an applicant's guide, agreement holder's guide, and Terms and Conditions.

Critères d'éligibilité

Applicants must be farmers or land managers in England.
Land must be registered to the applicant's Single Business Identifier (SBI).
For FY2 Woodland infrastructure: must show need for access to support existing or new woodland; must have management control of land; land must not be in an Environmental Stewardship agreement; can only apply in conjunction with a Woodland Creation Grant agreement started before 1 January 2022.
For beaver items BC3, BC4, BC5: land must be in one of the eligible river catchments (East Devon, Stout (Kent), etc.) with evidence of beaver activity.
