UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education 2026
The UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education honors outstanding and innovative contributions by individuals, institutions, and organizations that promote the advancement of girls' and women's education globally. Two laureates are selected annually, each receiving USD $50,000 to further strengthen their work. This is a nomination-based prize: candidates must be nominated by the Governments of UNESCO Member States (via National Commissions or Permanent Delegations) or by NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO. Projects must have been established and operational for at least two years.
