What Is the Sony Creative Science Award?

The Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA) is Singapore’s flagship toy-making competition for primary school students, jointly organised by Science Centre Singapore and Sony Group of Companies in Singapore, with support from the Ministry of Education. Now in its 29th year, the competition challenges students to design and build original toys that demonstrate scientific principles in a fun and engaging way.

Who Can Participate?

The competition is open to all Primary 1 to 6 students in Singapore, divided into two categories:

• Junior WhizKid: Primary 1 & 2
• WhizKid: Primary 3 to 6

Students may participate individually or in pairs. Each entry must be accompanied by a supervising teacher or parent.

• Registration deadline: 10 July 2026
• Final judging & award ceremony: November 2026

Why Participate?
