UKCommercialising Knowledge Assets Fund (CKAF) Spring
The Commercialising Knowledge Assets Fund (CKAF) Spring is a competitive grant programme run by Innovate UK on behalf of the Government Office for Technology Transfer (GOTT). It provides grants of £50,000 to £250,000 to UK-registered public sector research establishments, UKRI-wholly owned institutes, and public sector bodies to move viable public sector knowledge assets towards commercial readiness. Projects must be based on pre-existing identified Knowledge Assets owned by the applicant, demonstrate a plausible potential commercial market, and hold rights to use/exploit any generated IP. Projects must last 6, 12, or 18 months and start between 1 September – 1 October 2026. Work/exploitation must occur in the UK.
