The EIC Pathfinder Open 2026 supports the earliest stages of scientific, technological, or deep-tech research and development aimed at high-risk/high-gain breakthrough technologies. It provides grants of up to €4 million for multidisciplinary research consortia (minimum 3 entities from 3 different eligible countries) to develop visionary, transformative technologies at TRL 1-4. The programme funds projects in any field of science, technology, or application without predefined thematic priorities, with total budget of €166 million under Horizon Europe. Recipients also gain access to EIC Business Acceleration Services including coaching, mentoring, and networking.

Hvem kan søke

Research consortia of at least three independent legal entities established in different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. Single applicants are not eligible for Pathfinder Open (only for Pathfinder Challenges).
