The First Nations Clean Energy Advice Grants Round 1 was announced as part of the implementation of the Government's First Nations Clean Energy Strategy. The objectives are to support First Nations communities to participate in clean energy development by building clean energy project skills and knowledge, accessing technical and professional support, and making informed decisions as per principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC).

Must be a First Nations organisation or group
Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
Must be an eligible entity (entity incorporated in Australia, registered land council, Australian incorporated not for profit association or cooperative, Australian incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust, or partnership based in Australia)
Cannot apply if organisation is on National Redress Scheme's list of Institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join
Cannot apply if organisation is insolvent, subject to insolvency proceedings, or has declared bankruptcy
Cannot apply if employer of 100+ employees that has not complied with Workplace Gender Equality Act (2012)
Cannot apply if individual
Cannot apply if Regional Development Australia Committee
