Frontier AI Discovery

UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £2.5 million to develop feasibility studies for frontier AI and foundation models. This funding from Innovate UK covers early-stage exploration of cutting-edge AI technologies, focusing on feasibility studies rather than full product development.

Kvalifikasjonskriterier

UK-registered businesses, research organisations, RTOs, charities, NGOs, or public sector bodies are eligible to apply
Single applicants only in Phase 1; no collaborations permitted
Only one lead application per organization is permitted
Projects must have total eligible costs between £25,000 and £50,000
Projects must last up to three months
Subcontracting is capped at 30% of project costs
Work must be carried out and exploited in the UK
Projects must align with one of four thematic priorities: AI-Enabled Health and Life Sciences, Advanced Materials, Secure AI for National Security and Defence, or Fundamental AI
