M-ERA.NET Call 2026: Materials Research and Innovation

M-ERA.NET Call 2026 is an international funding initiative supporting transnational research and innovation in materials science, engineering, and battery technologies aligned with the European Green Deal. The call invites consortia of at least three partners from three different countries to submit proposals across six thematic areas: energy storage and distribution, energy conversion, innovative surfaces and coatings, functional materials, environmental challenges, and next-generation electronics materials. With approximately 40 million EUR in indicative funding from 35 national and regional agencies, the programme follows a two-stage process with full proposals due November 18, 2026. Projects must integrate European Green Deal goals, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and Responsible Research and Innovation principles.
