Industriklivet Bio-CCS Funding Call
The Swedish Energy Agency has announced plans to open a new funding call dedicated to negative emissions projects, marking another step in Sweden's strategy to scale permanent carbon removal technologies. The call will make approximately SEK 300 million ($28 million) available under the government-backed Industriklivet programme. Funding will target projects capable of delivering verified negative emissions, particularly through the capture, transport and geological storage of biogenic carbon dioxide (bio-CCS). The initiative supports both early-stage research and near-commercial deployment, including pilot facilities, demonstration plants and full-scale investment projects.
Vem kan ansöka
Projects must be capable of delivering verified negative emissions through capture, transport and geological storage of biogenic CO2. Carbon dioxide utilisation (CCU) projects and biochar production are excluded. Focus is on permanent geological storage pathways.Källor
