2026 Van Lier Fellowship in Visual Arts

The 2026 Van Lier Fellowship in Visual Arts awards two NYC-based Asian American early-career artists—one Visual Arts Practice fellow and one Visual Arts Curation fellow—with a $10,000 unrestricted stipend plus an eight-month mentorship program running May through December 2026. Fellows receive artistic mentorship, career coaching, technical support, and up to $1,000 in production support for a required public presentation or workshop. Supported by the Edward and Sally Van Lier Fund through the New York Community Trust.

Who can apply

NYC-based Asian American early-career artists aged 30 or younger in visual arts practice or curation, not currently enrolled in a visual arts degree program.
