The Business Improvement Fund (BIF) helps tourism businesses boost productivity and competitiveness by supporting technology innovation and adoption, business model and process enhancements, and sustainability initiatives across the tourism industries. It is open to Singapore-registered tourism businesses and technology companies creating products for tourism.

Eligibility criteria

The fund is open to Singapore-registered businesses only, particularly tourism businesses taking on core capability development initiatives and technology companies creating innovative products and services for tourism businesses.
Eligible projects should fall under one of the following categories: Core Capabilities Improvements (e.g. business strategy development, adoption of internationally recognised sustainability certification/standards) or Innovation and Productivity Improvements (e.g. automation, product development, expansion in adoption/development of new, innovative, and sustainable products/services/solutions).
Projects must not have commenced at the point of grant application. Projects are considered to have commenced if any of the following took place before application date: applicant has started work, made payment(s) to any supplier/vendor/third party, or signed a contractual agreement with any supplier/vendor/third party.
