CanadaCanExport Innovation
The CanExport Innovation program provides funding to Canadian innovators for research and development (R&D) to pursue and sign collaborative R&D agreements with international partners. It covers up to 75% of costs for activities such as intellectual property protection, certification, legal advice, and travel. Applications for the June 2026 intake are accepted on a rolling basis until the budget is fully allocated, with priority for defence/dual-use technologies and Indo-Pacific partnerships.
Who can apply
Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises, academic institutions, and non-government research centres that are registered in Canada, have a CRA business number, own or have decision-making authority over the technology's IP, have a prototype (TRL 4+), and intend to commercialize within 5 years.Sources
