Early Career Fellowship Grants, 2026-27
Offers grants of up to £2,000 for discrete research projects lasting no more than six months, supporting career-building research or activities for early career historians post-PhD. Fellowships are available to current members of the Royal Historical Society.
Who can apply
Applicants must be early career historians who are not in permanent full-time academic positions and within five years of submitting their PhD in a historical subject (excluding periods of parental leave, illness, or caring responsibilities).
