Sector transition: UKRI policy fellowships 2026

This fellowship helps researchers move between academic and policy work, supporting knowledge and skill transfer across these sectors. Funding ranges from £180,000 to £280,000 with no set limit, and the deadline is 10 September 2026.

Who can apply

Open to academics with a doctorate or equivalent research experience, relevant expertise, and a goal to transfer knowledge between academia and policy. Organisations must have standard UKRI eligibility.
