The Branco Weiss Fellowship – Society in Science
The Branco Weiss Fellowship – Society in Science supports postdoctoral researchers worldwide in all disciplines to pursue original, independent research projects that fall outside the scope of traditional, large-scale research initiatives. Fellows receive up to CHF 600,000 for five years, with full autonomy to allocate funds for salary, staff, or equipment at any academic institution worldwide. The fellowship consists of a 2.5-year pioneer phase followed by a 2.5-year exploitation phase.
Who can apply
Open to postdoctoral researchers worldwide from all disciplines (natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering) who have completed their PhD within the last five years and have not yet held a faculty position.Perks & benefits
