Yéego Action Grant

The Yéego Action Grant provides support for Indigenous artists and culture bearers who need financial assistance with a specific professional opportunity or towards a hardship hindering their creative practice. It is not intended to fund new projects but rather to address urgent needs and unanticipated expenses.

Who can apply

Applicants must be at least 18, US-based residents, enrolled members or lineal descendants of a US federally-recognized or state-recognized tribe, or provide proof of ancestry as Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian, be practicing artists, not enrolled in a degree-seeking program, and never have received a Yéego Action Grant before.

Eligibility criteria

Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
Must be a U.S. based resident.
Applicants must be an enrolled member of, or provide proof of lineal descendancy from, a U.S. federally-recognized or U.S. state-recognized tribe, or be able to provide proof of ancestry as an Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian.
Applicant must be a practicing artist.
Applicants may not be enrolled in any academic, degree seeking program.
Applicant has never been awarded a Yéego Action Grant before.
Each artist must submit an individual application; group or multiple-artist requests will not be considered.
Current FPF grantees/fellows/leaders of grantees are ineligible to apply.
