EPSRC - Research Ireland Joint Funding of Research
This partnership supports collaborative research and technology development projects involving teams from the UK and Republic of Ireland across EPSRC's remit. Successful applications enable UK-based researchers to be funded by EPSRC and Republic of Ireland-based researchers to be funded by Research Ireland. The programme follows a 'lead agency' model where a single joint proposal is submitted to EPSRC via the UKRI Funding Service.
Who can apply
Collaborative teams led by researchers from both the UK and Republic of Ireland. UK applicants must meet standard EPSRC eligibility; ROI applicants must be based at a Research Ireland-eligible institution, hold a PhD or equivalent, and be either permanent academic staff or independent contract researchers.Key contacts
