The Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award honors women, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming photojournalists who demonstrate exceptional courage, dedication, and visual excellence in their work. The award recognizes journalistic bravery across challenging reporting environments and was established in 2014 via the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. One winner receives a $20,000 unrestricted cash prize along with international recognition and inclusion in the IWMF professional network.
Who can apply
